Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 in US with outdated Android 1.6

August 11, 2010

Many Sony Ericsson fans were hoping for the phone to be updated to Android 2.1. But it did not happen. The fans of the company were disappointed to see that the phone is still on Android 2.1. Now the analysts are asking if the phone will even be on Android 2.2. Will the company jump straightaway to Froyo?

The X10 has arrived on the AT&T network. The phone comes with the same features that were major attraction to all once. The phone would be available from August 15. To the US customers the phone will cost $149.99 with a 2-year plan.

The X10 has an impressive 4-inch screen and 1GHz Snapdragon processor. It has the 8.1 megapixel camera (with LED flash). The phone also has 8GB of memory and GPS support. But while the features are great, its drawback is Android 1.6, which is too outdated.
