The 11 days long strike that was started on April 3 by the Jammu and Kashmir Secretariat Employees Association (JKCSEA) has been finally called off on Tuesday when the government accepted their demands as well as agreed to pay the due payments.

The government employees laid the demands to release arrears according to the 6th Pay Commission act and the retirement age must be raised from 58 to 60.

JKCSEA president, Nazir Ahmed Mir said, “We have called off the strike in the interest of public, in response to a call given by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.”
